Overview
As part of WildAid Hong Kong’s initiative to engage donors in wildlife conservation, I played a key role in shaping the NFT project, overseeing asset creation, UI/UX design, and smart contract implementation. The project aimed to offer uniquely numbered digital collectibles—photographs by renowned wildlife photographers capturing themes of land, ocean, and climate. Each NFT was limited in quantity and distributed randomly until all were claimed.
Beyond design, I collaborated closely with developers to define the smart contract conditions, ensuring fairness in distribution and seamless functionality. I also conducted testing on the test net to validate transactions and optimize the user experience. The NFTs granted holders exclusive access to future WildAid events, reinforcing long-term engagement with conservation efforts.
Despite a strong concept, shifting public sentiment around NFTs and their perceived environmental impact led to the project's early conclusion. Nonetheless, it was a valuable exploration of blockchain’s potential in philanthropy and digital engagement.
